Hodgens House explores a modern interpretation of the traditional rural homestead, expressed through a collection of distinct gabled forms arranged around shared outdoor spaces. The layout creates a clear separation between living, private, and service zones while maintaining strong visual and physical connections across the site.
Warm natural materials are used to soften the architectural form and provide contrast against the structured geometry of the buildings. The design prioritises comfort, functionality, and longevity, with careful consideration given to proportions, natural light, and the everyday experience of moving through the home.
